I was prepping an email for one of my marketing clients today and say this little beauty.
It’s one thing to offer the best email marketing engine on the planet. But MailChimp also manages to have one of the most fun applications I’ve ever used. It’s fully of little easter eggs like this. (Um, another is the random free t-shirts!)
Back before MailChimp was huge they posted a blog posts saying that some of their bigger, institutional clients, weren’t all that impressed with the fun MailChimp humor. So they were going to start phasing Freddie out.
I’m so glad they kept it. It’s part of what makes them unique. And as someone who spends at least 1/24th of my day on the site– it makes that part of my day just a little bit more fun.
